The United Nations at the forefront on Sustainable Development

In late June, I was fortunate to attend the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit 2016 at the UN in New York. This is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative and is a call to companies to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions that advance societal goals. Combating climate change – Advancing the SDGs

One of the lesser known effects of climate change is the reduction in agricultural productivity – for each 1 degree of temperature increase, grain yields decline by about 5%.
